Hola Barcelona! – palm trees everywhere and wonderful architecture

As I mentioned in my last post, I was on holiday in Barcelona with my boyfriend. If you are interested in what we ate there, you can finally read my Barcelona food diary HERE!

When we arrived, our first destination was the beach, obviously and got immediately impressed by the palm trees and the spanish atmosphere. Usually, we spent the mornings with sightseeing and the afternoon by going to the beach which was only five minutes walk from our Airbnb, yay!

In the first few days we visited Port Vell and it’s surroundings where the famous Colombus statue is with the lions. During sightseeing we discovered the city and enjoyed the spanish atmosphere. I loved the colorful houses and buildings where you can also find palm trees. Plus I really liked that spanish people sat in front of the houses and chatted cheerfully. In the little narrow streets you could always hear street musicians and the charismatic sound of the Spanish language.

The Sagrada Familia is one of the most popular tourist attractions and all the tiny details were very beautiful on the building. I love Gaudí’s wonderful buildings like Casa Milá and Casa Batlló which you can see on streets of Barcelona. My other favorites are the Arc del Triomf and the Parc de la Ciutadella where you can chill a little bit or have a picnic.

In my next post I’ll show you some nice pictures about Güel Park, Monjuic and it’s lovely cactus garden.
